Great non-surgical treatment for improving skin tone, texture, and significantly minimizes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It is also used to treat scars caused by acne or surgical scarring.

For optimal results it is recommended to have 3 to 6 treatments depending on severity of the treatment area and/or the client goals. This will be discussed at your consultation with a specialized medical aesthetician.

The treatment uses several small needles to create microchannels within the dermis of the treatment area. Once the channels are created, the body immediately kickstarts remodelling and collagen production starts. Treatment areas include face, neck, chest, arms, legs, and back.

Avoid the sun for two weeks and any other skin resurfacing treatments and lasers. Numbing cream will be used to make you comfortable.

Immediately after your treatment your skin may feel warm and tight and look reddened for 1 to 3 days. Your practitioner will apply a serum during the procedure, so it is recommended not to wash your face for four hours after. After this period, you may gently wash your face with a gentle cleanser followed by a gentle moisturizer. You will be sent home with 1% hydrocortisone to use soothe any potential skin irritation. Don’t do any activities that cause excessive sweating for 2 days and avoid the use of makeup for the first 24 hours.

Slight bleeding, redness, inflammation or tightness of skin followed by mild peeling are common side effects that should not be worried over.

Skin should be protected from the sun until healing is complete. Sunscreen should used daily following healing.

No hot showers or baths.

No Steam room or hot tubs.

No exercising for 48 hours.

Change your pillowcase nightly until healed.

Moisturizing when healing is complete.

Do not take any blood thinner before or after your treatment such as ibuprofen.

Do not touch your face.

Do not pick at or pull any skin.

No irritating fragrances are to be used.

  • Have history of actinic or solar keratosis
  • Have had radiation therapy recently or have cancer
  • Have a history of skin keloid scarring
  • Have auto immune disorder
  • History of diabetes
  • Presence of raised moles in area to be treated
  • Active bacterial or fungal infections
  • Blood clotting conditions
